Makaron Restaurant A la Carte menu

Makaron restaurant serves Dinner and breakfast only. The ala carte dinner menu is obtainable from the restaurant. The menu is an indication of the type of food that we serve and that it is always changing depending on the season and the availability of the best fresh ingredients we are able to source.

With a tantalizing selection of options for each meal, Makaron Restaurant lives up to the promise of its glamour. Weather permitting; meals are also served on the terrace. Makaron seats forty-four (44) guests inside and twenty-eight (28) outside.

Makaron boasts a tempting ala carte menu prepared with the freshest ingredients, and offered with wine or beer pairing. It is open for dinner every day but closed on Wednesdays only in Winter ( May to September).

The Majeka menu offers an option for lunch, light meals or room service. It is served from the M Lounge and can be enjoyed in the garden or in the M Lounge itself.

Sundays at Makaron have never been so tantalising, the recent introduction of the Sunday Lunch has brought a new dimension of concluding a well spend relaxing weekend. The mouthwatering Sunday lunch menu can be found the the hotel's website. 

In Makaron Restaurant, a stylish, contemporary interior has been created using a clever mix of repurposed and recycled furniture complemented by modern statement pieces. Beautiful tables by Cape Town designer Gregor Jenkin and Louis Ghost chairs take pride of place.
The result is a visually stimulating space that offers extreme comfort and encourages complete immersion in the dining experience. The overall effect is an understated feeling of luxury.

Airy and light, the restaurant overlooks lush gardens and leads onto a sheltered terrace for alfresco dining. It is in this stimulating setting that the Kitchen team presents the menu of fresh, modern basic bistro chic cuisine. The team has enormous respect for the quality and provenance of each ingredient that comes into the kitchen and takes pride in working with ethical producers and suppliers who share the philosophy of working more and more with raw vegetables, fruits and flowers. She has also been very much inspired by spending periods of time working in Michelin starred restaurants like L’Arpège and Gagnier in Paris, Geranium in Copenhagen and Frantzen in Stockholm.

Complementing Makaron Restaurant is M Lounge, an inviting lounge-style bar with the decadent ambiance of a Parisian salon and an enticing Majeka menu, which is ideal for sharing and for pairing with a cocktail, beer or glass of chilled wine.

Breakfast:

Selection of fresh juices, pastries, breads, cold meats and fish, cereal, fruit, cheese and yoghurts, as well as various hot dishes ranging from the popular Eggs Benedict to a full English breakfast. Served daily from 7 to 10.30am.

Dinner:

For dinner Makaron boasts a tempting a la carte menu prepared with the freshest ingredients, and offered with wine pairing. It is open for dinner every day but closed on Wednesdays only in Winter (May to September).

The Majeka Spa stocks Africology, Skindoctor and QMS. Facilities include the heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, as well as a small but well equipped fitness center.

The Spa itself consists of three treatments rooms: two single bed room, one couple’s treatment room, as well as an extra nail room .

Day guests may make use of the hotel facilities for a total of 2 hours before or after their treatment.

The utmost discretion is taken to preserve the exclusivity and intimacy of both the delegates and  our in-house guests, and therefore Majeka House only offers conferencing where accommodation is included.

The conference center can seat up to 16 delegates in a boardroom style and has the following facilities:

The conference package includes use of the facilities, lunch, and one coffee/tea break for a half-day package, or two breaks for a full day.
