Noordhoek Beach stretches on for 8 beautiful kilometres in the suburb of Noordhoek, Cape Town. As you head over Chapman’s Peak, you will be welcomed by the picturesque shoreline below that meanders towards Kommetjie in the not so far distance.

The great thing about this beach is that it is large and never feels crowded, so you’re ensured a leisurely day in the sun while on a trained horse - the beach is also a popular spot for surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, sun tanning, dog walking.

Noordhoek is situated below the Southern Slopes of Chapman’s Peak Drive and is Cape Town’s rural treasure with a farm atmosphere. It is famed for its long white sandy beach, ideal for horse riding on the beach for a close up natural experience.

Description
We offer approx. 1hour 45 minute guided beach ride leaving from Imhoff Farm Kommetjie, riding straight through the wetlands for about 20minutes onto beautiful Noordhoek beach. Riding along the water’s edge or the back pan towards Chapman’s Peak and back. A variety of wildlife can often be seen on the beach rides e.g. birdlife, whales, otters and seals.

We have 3 rides daily 9am, 1pm and 4.30pm ( December – Mid March) or 9am, 12.30 pm and 4.00pm depending on the season (Mid March – November). We cater for all levels of riders with a min age of 12 years and a max weight of 95kg/ 14.9stone/209 pounds.

More information

• Arrival time is 30 minutes before. So that there is time to sign the indemnity, fitting of your riding hat, meeting of the guide and allocation of horses.
• For safety reasons we do not take under 12yrs.
• We have a weight limit of 95kgs.
• Riders must wear long pants and a closed shoe or boots with a slight heal.
• Have you had a recent operation, have medical conditions that would preclude you from riding or are you pregnant? If so, we are very sorry but for safety reasons you will not be able to ride on one of our trails.
• No drinking of alcohol or taking of recreational drugs before/during horse riding.
• No refunds will be made on rides due to horses not co-operating. This applies as well to poor weather conditions once the ride has gone out.

General/Standard cancellation policy

• Cancellation outside 14 days prior to tour date: 100% credit as Travel Credit voucher / 95% refund*
• Cancellation 14-7 days prior to tour date: 100% credit as Travel Credit voucher / 80% refund*
• Cancellation 3-6 days prior to tour date: 50% refund*
• Cancellation 2 days prior to tour date, late arrivals or “no show”: No refund / Full fee charged

* The general / standard cancellation policy applies to all products excluding specific Packages, Kruger Tours and Private/Custom made tours.

* All transaction / transfer fees and/or forex conversion costs charged by the banks during the refund process will be billed to you (client).

* Refunds and Travel Credit voucher values are calculated in our local ZAR (South African Rand) currency. Transaction values in your own currency could be affected due to bank fees and currency exchange fluctuations. Refunds are usually made back to the original source of payment method.

* This option may be selected up till 7 days prior to your start / departure date. The voucher should be used within a 24 month period from the issue date unless stated otherwise. Where a Travel Credit voucher option is selected, payment in FULL must be made to Cape Xtreme if the booking was made through a Travel Agent. Please be advised that a Travel Credit voucher is selected instead of a cancellation charge and will result in no refunds being issued. After the Travel Credit voucher has been selected no further alterations can be made / no refunds will be issued should you make any changes again.
