Gin Experience (SE15)

Celebrate the vibrant diversity of Cape Town’s special Gin variety with its distinctly South African flavour that reflects the biodiversity of the region. Enjoy three craft gin tastings and tour the most southerly craft distillery on the Cape Peninsula. Our journey of discovery begins at the Woodstock Gin Company, distillers of fynbos infused South African gin with subtle undertones of buchu and wild rosemary. Then we’re off to the Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company, to sample handcrafted, small batch Gins, infused with handpicked Rooibos, vibrantly red in colour and a distinctive taste.

Our final tasting and distillery tour take place at the Deep South Distillery, known for crafting award winning artisanal spirits in small batches following a very hands on approach. Both of its gins are gold medal winners that pay tribute to the unique flora and surroundings of the Cape Peninsula.

Woodstock Gin Co
Departing Cape Town, your journey of discovery begins at the Woodstock Gin Company. Founded in 2014, this small distillery specialises in quality Fynbos infused gin. They only source the finest, natural ingredients to produce gin with subtle undertones of buchu and wild rosemary, amongst others. Inception, their flagship gin, epitomises their passion for making superb gin with a South African flair. This unique gin is double distilled and infused with their well-balanced mixture of botanicals during the second distillation.

Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company
The next stop is the Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company. Here you will have the opportunity to sample handcrafted, small batch Gins infused with handpicked Rooibos, vibrantly red in colour and distinctive in taste. Their award-winning range of gins, including Cape Town Gin Classic Dry, The Pink Lady and Rooibos Red, reflects the uniqueness, creativity and diversity of the Mother City and the region.

Deep South Distillery
It is time to explore Cape Town's southernmost distillery, the Deep South Distillery. Situated on the Cape Peninsula, they specialise in small batch, hand-crafted spirits. They follow a hands-on approach where bottling and labelling are all still done by hand. Their gins are gold medal winners and pay tribute to the unique flora and surroundings of the Cape Peninsula.
